One of my longest stays in Taos was in an isolated set of adobe cabins called the Shady Brook just outside of town that was buried in what is known as the Taos Canyon. People told me the place was haunted --- probably why the rent was so cheap. Although I never saw a ghost or goblin, I did meet the most colorful collection of rare and interesting individuals. Definitely a place that deserved to be a starting location for something as grand in scale as the Taos storyline.
Taos is completely written.and in editing right now. It is a fiction novel (roughly 500 pages). And it has everything. It has Indians. It has hippies. It has millionaires. It has moviestars, secret societies, elite rituals, power struggles, violence, action, explosions, mansion haciendas, drug-lords, crooked cops, etc... etc... etc... I remember the day after forwarding it to my editor. He called me up. "Trey... I haven't been able to stop reading for 14 hours straight. Taos may be the most twisted thing I've ever read. I loved every minute of it."
That being said, let me make this disclaimer. Taos is definitely not for children. It contains scenerios and situations that some may find disturbing. The book Taos was birthed during a time of pure chaos in my life. You may want to have something you can squeeze tight when you sit down to read it. It is coming soon.
The material has a curious appeal, particularly to intellectuals and those seeking answers to what is just beyond human reach. God in a Nutshell is spiritual, attentive to history (ancient cultures), scientific in approach, and expresses questions that mankind has asked since our earliest beginnings. Let me be clear about this: I (Trey Smith) am NOT a pastor, religious authority, or spiritual guru of any kind. To the contrary, I am merely a man searching for more details to three questions I find very important: Who are we? Where did we come from? What happens next? Those three questions are the God in a Nutshell Project.
"If you feel as I do, that those three seemigly simple questions are worthy of our attention, then you are welcome to join me on a journey of mankind's grandest exploration. The project grows." ---------Trey Smith

Satan: Judgment Day for the Dragon is a book that I have gained a lot of clarity on. I work on it a little at a time, but plan to speed that up here soon. I like writing on Judgment Day for the Dragon because of the liberty it gives me to create things that push imagination to its brink. It is the story of the devil... from being an angel, to the rebellion, to the first and last fight with God. The story allows me to use my knowledge of ancient cultures and belief systems to bring to life fanatastic realities that would likely even pose of a fair challenge to the Lord of the Rings CGI guys. Time, dimensions, layers, creatures... oh lots of creatures, demons, Arch Angels, even aliens (or my personal redefining of them), and mankind as the blind chess piece in the middle of all it...Yet all of this is merely the backdrop of a story about God and the Rebellious Servant of Zion, Lucifer, great king of demons and prince of abyss, Satan, the dragon... As you can guess, I am very careful to do this right.
There is a first draft of chapter one up online. Like first drafts of anything, it needs to be redone. Satan: Judgment Day for the Dragon is in progress, but still a good way off from completion. I will deliver it the first moment I can honestly look at the book and say, "WOW! That makes my hair stand on end!"
